9 Mukhi Rudraksha
9 Mukhi Rudraksha is a natural seed from the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree found in Nepal and identified by having nine natural grooves that extend along the surface of the bead from its top to bottom. This bead measures between 18mm and 23mm in diameter and features a brown, textured outer shell. Nepal 9 Mukhi beads are relatively common, comparatively large, and harvested from wild Elaeocarpus ganitrus trees.
According to the Shiva Mahapurana and Devi Bhagavata Purana, the 9 Mukhi Rudraksha represents the nine aspects of Goddess Durga (Nav Durga) as well as the nine planets (Navagraha). From the perspective of Vedic Astrology, this bead is linked to Ketu (Descending lunar node) that denotes spirituality, enlightenment, and freedom from material results of actions. The use of this bead has been mentioned in literature in association with strength, courage, and Shakti (female cosmic energy).
This bead can be strung into jewelry as a pendant, made part of 108 beads rudraksha mala, used for worshiping during Navratri and Devi worship. Ketu planetary period users prefer wearing such rudrakshas according to recommendations of Vedic astrologers.
Every bead sold by Rudraksha Tree is guaranteed for its nine natural grooves confirmed under microscope. Each bead comes dispatched with a certificate of authenticity stating mukhi count and place of origin.
