Description

2 Mukhi Rudraksha from Nepal

The 2 Mukhi Rudraksha is a natural seed from the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, hand-sourced from the hill regions of Nepal. You’ll recognize it instantly by its two distinct grooves — called mukhis — that run naturally from crown to base, like lines drawn by the earth itself. The bead is oval to gently round, typically somewhere between 16 and 22 mm across, with a firm, textured surface in shades of warm brown to deep dark brown.

Nepal-origin beads are genuinely different from their Indonesian counterparts — larger, denser, and grown wild on trees at altitudes between 600 and 900 metres above sea level. Every single bead is individually authenticated: two clean, natural surface grooves, confirmed under magnification before it ever leaves its origin.

In the Shiva Purana and the Rudraksha Jabala Upanishad, this bead is tied to Ardhanarishvara — the fused form of Shiva and Parvati — embodying the balance of masculine and feminine as one. Vedic astrology connects it to the Moon (Chandra), and with that comes its longstanding association with mental stillness, emotional steadiness, and the quality of one’s closest relationships.

People wear it in silver or gold cap settings as a pendant, string it into 108-count prayer malas, or simply keep it in a personal pouch. It holds up well for daily wear, sits comfortably into meditation and mantra practice, and finds a natural place on a home altar alongside other mukhi beads.
