Description
7 Mukhi Rudraksha
The 7 Mukhi Rudraksha is a natural fruit seed of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus plant that comes from Nepal. This variety has seven natural faces on the seed surface. The size of the seed ranges from 17 mm to 22 mm in diameter, and it features a hard brown surface. They are sourced from forest areas of Nepal’s Himalayas and are more rare than the lower mukhi seeds of Nepal.
According to Vedic literature, especially the Shiva Purana, the 7 Mukhi Rudraksha represents Goddess Mahalakshmi, the deity associated with wealth and prosperity, and Ananga, one of the seven Saptarishis. These references exist within Vedic texts concerning material stability and prosperity. In the system of Vedic astrology, the 7 Mukhi Rudraksha is linked with planet Shani (Saturn).
The use of the 7 Mukhi Rudraksha includes wearing it as a pendant set in either silver or gold, inclusion in the 108 beads prayer mala or placement in the puja room. Each bead is handpicked and authenticated to ensure that there are seven natural grooves on the surface of the bead. This process is done before shipment.
It is preferred by those who take into account the recommendations of Vedic astrology, especially related to lanetary periods (Shani Dasha or Sade Sati). Available as a loose bead or in sterling silver or gold pendant settings.
