6 Mukhi Rudraksha
The 6 Mukhi Rudraksha is an organic seed extracted from the plant species of Elaeocarpus ganitrus and cultivated in Nepal. This unique stone features six natural grooves and/or faces along its surface. Its appearance can be described as round or spherical with diameters of about 16-22 mm. This stone boasts brown skin with unique texture properties. The Nepalese variant is distinguished from the Indonesian one by its hardness and size.
According to ancient Vedic writings such as the Rudraksha Jabala Upanishad and Shiva Purana, the 6 Mukhi Rudraksha is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya (Skanda, Murugan), the child of Lord Shiva. In Vedic astrology, this seed represents the planet Venus (Shukra). It is responsible for creativity, love, and relationships. In Vedic literature, the 6 Mukhi Rudraksha is associated with willpower, stability, and thoughtfulness.
The 6 Mukhi Rudraksha may be worn on a necklace, used in a set of beads for meditation (108 beads), or placed on the personal altar. It may be obtained in both natural and cap variants made of sterling silver or gold. Authenticity of this stone is proven through counting six natural grooves or lines on each individual piece.
Perfect for everyday pendant wearing as well as use during meditation, yoga, and ritual puja practices. Frequently paired with different kinds of mukhis to create custom-made malas with different mukhi combinations or worn with 5 Mukhi Nepal as bracelets.
